The frontline building along Chongwenmen Wai Street in Chongwenmen business district is huge, gray, and rigid, badly lit at night, and has a scattered and broken commercial display area. In addition, the ground area is relatively small. Thus we hope to maximize building volume through appropriate cantilevering in each direction. We will maximize the external commercial display areas and the independence and identifiability of its brand by reversing several box buildings at each junction. The internal street frontage of these independent box buildings can be arranged with anchor stores that have clothes as the principle goods, creating a unique brand image in the business district. Driven by the abovementioned anchor stores, the side that is against the street in each floor can be arranged with ordinary commercial stores. Island-type operation area could be arranged around the wide courtyard to improve the visibility of the commercial space on each floor. An elevated square is set on the fourth floor to host various large business activities. There will also be a one-way escalator to take people directly to this floor. A city square will be established on the first floor facing the subway in the northeast in the hope of attracting people and holding outdoor business activities. There is also a square in the courtyard on Basement 1 which is next to the entrance and exit of subway and could be used to hold small and medium-scale business activities in order to attract people at the entrance and exit of subway. Around the open courtyard, an escalator is set between each floor and a streamline is formed to guide people to spin upwards until they reach the garden catering bridge. The glass floor in the center of bridge is also the skylight of the courtyard of the shopping center. It will become a special landscape in the city. The bridge will house the most fashionable restaurants and bars in the city, while the two express landscape elevators at the street frontage entrance will ensure the independent operation time of the catering bridge.
崇文门商圈沿崇文门外大街一线建筑体量庞大,建筑色调灰暗,建筑体型呆板,夜间照度过低,商业展示界面零散破碎。而本案基地面积较小,因此,我们希望通过各个方向适当的悬挑,最大化建筑体量。通过若干箱型建筑体量向各个路口的扭转,最大化其商业外部展示界面及品牌独立性与可识别性,这些独立的箱型体量内部临街一侧可布置以时尚服饰为主的主力店,令其拥有商圈内独一无二品牌形象。通过上述主力店的带动,每楼层背街一侧可布置普通商业店面,围绕宽敞的中庭布置大小不同的岛式经营区以提高每层商业空间的透明度。 位于四层设空中广场以举办多种形式的大型商业活动,并有单向自动扶梯直接将人流输送至该层。首层迎向东北地铁方向设城市广场,以期留住往来人流并可用于举办户外商业活动。地下一层中庭内亦设有广场,紧邻地铁出入口,可举办中小型商业活动以吸引地铁出口的过往人流。围绕开放自如的中庭,各层间布置双向自动扶梯并形成强迫性流线,引导人们螺旋向上直至屋顶的花园式空中餐饮天街。位于天街中央可上人玻璃楼板亦是购物中心中庭的天窗,它将成为城中的一个特色景观,天街将吸引城中最时尚的潮流各式餐饮、酒吧,而位于临街入口处的两部直达景观电梯将确保餐饮天街的独立营业时段。
