YEAR
2009
This prototype interior for a brand roll-out of a new take-out chain turns aspects of the food's flavors and history into spatial effect. A signature red outcropping--as bold as the flavors of the restaurant's food-- anchors the small space without dividing it. The menu on the wall introduces patrons to its particular cuisine, while a calligraphic stroke of lighting floats on the ceiling overhead. A range of other printed and material textures generate warmth and create a lot of effect for a small budget.
