The Chinese Embassy Cultural Section is located in Dasmariñas Village, Makati. It derives its design cues from the immediate context and character of the People’s Republic of China, with a desire to respect and blend with the scale and texture of the neighborhood. The common spaces provide views of the lush green landscape and tree canopies.
The building features a fusion of the traditional philosophies of Chinese architecture and modernity. The main hall leads to a modern and functional interior and several meeting rooms, multi-function halls, and a Chinese-style garden. Landscaping is an important part of the design.
The Chinese garden and exterior spaces create an environment of serenity and security. Hints of Chinese culture may be found in every detail of the design. The ceiling and windows were designed to permit plenty of natural daylight allowing a better appreciation of cultural and heritage assets of the country, which are to be displayed around the entire vicinity.
