The project consists of a single-family house on a large plot of land facing a golf course in Las Brisas de Chicureo.
The house is organized between two horizontal planes: a concrete base and a wooden roof. Between these two planes, five habitable volumes are arranged: public area, master bedroom, secondary bedrooms, playroom, and service area.
The concrete base slightly elevates the habitable volumes to provide views of the golf course. The roof creates ample shade so that the habitable volumes do not receive direct solar radiation in this very hot environment during six months of the year, resulting in a sustainable and thermally comfortable living space.
The interstitial spaces left between the two planes house the barbecue area, the covered terrace, the service yard, and the parking areas. The user experience is shaped by moving fluidly and visually continuously through these volumes and interstitial spaces.
The project is built using glued laminated timber columns and beams, along with a metal structure.
