Situated on the west of Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, the design of the Airport Cloud - Chengdu Shuangliu Airport Exhibition Center is inspired by the concept of "cloud" to symbolize the imagery of the airport-side building using implicit metaphors. The Cloud Gallery, suspended over the grassy slope park, shows a large multi-level landscaped terrace that offers visitors a space to stop and admire the views of airplanes landing and taking off from a distance. Horizontal metal louvered panels enhance the horizontal extension attributes of the building, and the interplay between reality and virtuality is intended to convey the soft hovering of the "clouds" using abstract architectural language. Since its completion and opening, the "Airport Cloud" has become a popular leisure destination for locals, where some activities such as distant observation, art experiences, business negotiations, and parent-child fitness are carried out here, all of which, along with the interactive exhibition, contribute to the delivery of a unique spatial experience.
