The owners asked us to re-structure the zoning plan and to add an extra floor at the top of their four-storey house. The whole building behind the facade was demolished and re-built using salvaged materials where possible.
Our brief was to evoke the spirit of a lived-in family house where dents and marks on surfaces reflect the passing of time and an orderly disorder lends the house the charm of being useful and loved at the same time.
