Natural Italian stone and oak surfaces are the materials around which the project for the interior design project of this villa in Basel was developed. Warm and at the same time bright materials that amplify the spaces of this house.
The design of the three bathrooms starts from the idea of creating a basement in natural stone, a carved stone that encloses the space above which the brightly painted walls reflect the natural light that enters through the windows.
Vicenza stone, in the two variants Bianco Avorio and Grigio Alpi, is perfect for giving a sense of materiality thanks to its calcareous nature. In the guest bathroom, we wanted to give greater contrast using the gray stone variant combined with blue walls and ceiling, while in the two master bathrooms sand-colored stone was used combined with neutral walls to give a sense of greater harmony.
The kitchen, on the other hand, has been shaped around the existing space and allow you to always have everything at hand. From this derive the curved shapes and the island that adapts to the space by tapering at its extremity.
Its natural oak finish and the clear ceramic top gives a sense of brightness and warmth to the space, reflecting the natural light coming from the outside on its surfaces, allowing it to enter and diffuse inside the kitchen.
