Not every project is appropriate for LEED certification but this should not mean that all future projects should abandon the principles set down by the LEED process. In this project we used only reclaimed and renewable woods.
All of the materials added to this home were chosen for there sustainably, durability and warmth.
We were able to 320 square feet and create a home office with amazing, previously unavailable, views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Canyon. This 1970's home was enlarged without changing the buildings footprint and at the same time turned a dark inward facing home
to see beyond its only walls.
In a way, “We turned a house inside-out” creating, vastly, better
views, natural light and ventilation, organic materials and an elegancy that seemed to be lacking. The entire process and relationship of design-build and the Client's desires along the way may be best described as an Organic Creation.
