Understanding the importance of the Charlotte Gateway Station project to the State of North Carolina, Yun Capital / EQV Consortium's proposal to NCDOT's Request for Qualifications had placed special emphasis on assembling a strong local to Charlotte NC and international development team with a unique set of best-in-class experience, and Public Private Partnership expertise in Transit Oriented Development.
Yun Capital / EQV Consortium developed a financial and development strategy to be implemented in partnership with the State of NC and NCDOT to not only meet the challenges for the new state of the art Multi-modal hub, but also surpass expectations for potential transit oriented development in Charlotte by integrating a World-Class Energy Research Urban Campus, Signature Mixed Use program including phased Class 'A' Commercial Office, 5-star Hospitality, Retail, and fully integrated market rate and Affordable Housing.
The 20 acre consolidated urban site at the west entrance to Uptown Charlotte would be focused on the intersection of West Trade and South Graham Streets by the introduction of the new station and city urban plaza at the west side of Uptown. Our proposed elevated green public path running parallel to the north-south axis and adjacent to the renovated and new track lines would connect the entire development with key intersection and bridge enhancements to link activity to the street level, and tie into the proposed Mecklenburg County Greenway Master Plan.
