The South Bohemian metropolis has the ambition to become the most successful regional centre in the Czech Republic and the new zoning plan is to serve as one of the basic tools to achieve this goal. Moreover, the city expects an increase in population in the near future. Therefore, in cooperation with OMGEVING (BE), Studio MAP (CZ), Studio Relinkt (CZ) and Štěpán Špoula, PHAP has proposed a vision for a zoning plan that will focus not only on the sustainable development and strategy of the fifteen-minute city, but also on its resilience to climate change. All this while preserving its natural, landscape and cultural richness.
Our common goal is České Budějovice as a prosperous Central European regional centre with a high quality of life for its inhabitants and a high-quality, functional urban planning. We want to create a city that entertains its citizens as well as its neighbours and visitors.
