STATUS

Concept

The project is implemented in the Province of Esmeraldas, Esmeraldas Canton, in the neighbourhood La Propicia, in an area of 3.44 has. In terms of the urban planning, this project is taking an important gap of the city, so, it responds to it and simultaneously generating an inside square used as a transition between the public and the private facility.
The topography of the soil is irregular so it chooses for a work on platforms forming an stereotomic podium on which stands a circular building, which responds to the environment that protects as much as visually, urban structure, full and empty, green spaces, and climatic factors taking advantage of the sun which illuminates all the spaces and the wind due to holes in the groundfloor are addressed to allow natural ventilation on interior and exterior areas.
The interior square of this project has the function to distribute visitors towards the different blocks to develop different activities at the Convention Center, thanks to it spatial distribution, allows to host several events at the same time.
