Workshop/APD completed a gut interior renovation for this playful, modern duplex apartment on Central Park West, the primary residence for a couple with three teenagers. Designed to frame and connect to the park outside, public and private spaces wrap around a glowing quartzite cube. In addition to the meticulous detailing, luxurious material palette, and a bold art collection, a number of site-specific works were developed for the project including the upside-down stair with custom digital display, Patrick Jacobs’ miniature peephole landscape of the family’s Aspen home, a covert mural framing the library’s hidden Banksy piece, and the powder room’s jaw-dropping digital ceiling.
