The project is situated in the Southeast area of Florence, in the portion of a vast green area of lengthened form, in between of Villamagna Street and the Arno River, the Park of the Antonella. Best part of this area is granted to the Florentine Aqueduct and therefore stolen from the public use, while the remaining portion is an irregular form and stretches for a strip of around a kilometer and half that finishes to West with the bridge of "Giovanni da Verrazzano" and to East with the bridge of Varlungo. The urban existing fabric, it therefore has not involved big suggestions, is an area of expansion devoted to residential use and commercial; there are not buildings of esteem, few the buildings that engage and is elevated the vehicular traffic. All of this matters denounce the existence from the point of view of the perception, visual and spatial, an "urban void," that characterize, today, the suburban areas of our city and in which the absence of a system of relationships is warned that a determined type of building it could give birth to. From these considerations my intention to design a center of electronic art, in an area that certainly has many advantages, the presence of the river and the adjacency of the park are elements that already itself connoting the space. The project was mainly born from the necessity to create a relationship of identification among the architectural object and that it entertains in such way to get an external image that represented a specific identity that of a center of electronic art. At the same time, definite the form, the search has gathered on the importance of the internal spaces like a place of communication of the collectivity and meeting among two realities, the production of the art and the exhibition with the intention to create a relationship of mutual interaction between the consumer/artist and the building. Thanks to the volume that suggests the dynamism of the thematic ones that entertains, thanks to the peculiarities to be place of experimentation between art and technology. In its configuration the center has constituted autonomous but connected visually from a series of gangways that postpones to the image of the factories from two organisms and of their ribbons conveyors, references not casual, but that they testify the intention to conceive the center as a real "factory of the art. Locating the two volume to the edges of the available space, has permitted the creation of a kind of "secret place" used by the public, whose configuration engages an important role for the center. In fact when "the machine of the art" it comes operated, the two organisms have equipped with two mobile galleries, that facing on this space and that they allow to closing it. The idea substantially is that of conceive the space between the two buildings, reacting space to the important activities of the center, in this area theatrical shows, small concerts could happen as a particular exhibitions . Here the signal it take on a shape with the runs of connection between the two organisms, while element becomes decorative for the flooring and structural element of connection of the plates of aluminum pierced of the big canopy.
