The Ecological Education Center is to fulfill two functions: ongoing supervision over the storage and management of waste and educational awareness in the field of educational awareness
The design of the social and office building involves the construction of a one-story building with an unusual plan, with a green roof adapted to pedestrian traffic, which blends in with the surroundings
The form of the object was inspired by the adjacent hill, which is a reclaimed area of recycled rubbish
the project proposes prefabricated and ecological elements: a corrugated sheet, construction beams made of glued laminated timber and a green roof
On the roof there is an educational path with information boards, photovoltaic installations and a place for bees.
The pre-entrance zone to the building is to perform educational functions for school trips and more. In the square in front of the building, water jets with unusual street furniture were proposed. The furniture creates a graphic symbol that symbolizes recycling. In the area of the rising roof, there are steps for sitting on the terrain. They create a place for sitting and ecological education in the open air
From the pre-entrance zone, two educational paths have been proposed: the first to the roof of the building and the second, which climbs the reclaimed rubbish quarters – there, visitors will be able to walk around the reclaimed dump and see some of them before reclamation from a distance
The building will house offices, social rooms, an exhibition and educational room, and a conference and educational room.
In the entrance area, a place for a naturally growing tree has been proposed, which emphasizes the symbolism of the project
An industrial character of the interior was proposed; finishing elements made of concrete, wood, installations are exposed,
Directly next to the conference and education room there is a glass heat exchanger room, which is also a demonstration room to show modern technologies of energy recovery and building heating.
