Cedro House
Fernanda Padula and Juliana Risso
Set on a steeply sloping site with a privileged view of a lake, Casa Cedro embodies the desire to inhabit the landscape with both lightness and depth.
The project anchors itself to the natural terrain, allowing the topography to guide its architectural form.
Arrival takes place on the upper level, where the bedrooms and home office are located.
Descending the cantilevered staircase, one reaches the social and service areas, defined by the seamless integration of living, dining, and kitchen Spaces, all oriented toward the horizon.
Massive concrete walls provide stability and presence, shaping a solid frame that captures and highlights the surrounding views, while strategically placed openings ensure natural light and ventilation throughout.
The pool, set at the height of the treetops, appears to float above the valley, amplifying the sense of suspension that defines the house.
On the lower ground level, opening onto a lawn that extends into the landscape, lie the sauna, the changing room, and the gym, spaces that expand the house’s leisure and wellness program while preserving its connection with the natural surroundings.
More than a residence, Casa Cedro is an immersion into the landscape,a poetic dialogue between architecture, nature, and materiality.
