Located in Ribeirão Preto, in the countryside of São Paulo - Brazil, the Cedro Apartment measures approximately 170 m² and is situated on the twenty-second floor, offering a privileged view of the city. The project was designed for a young couple with a child, emphasizing moments of togetherness and a meticulous attention to detail.
With the aim of creating a sense of flow in the social area and maximizing natural light, the wall that separated the kitchen was removed, as were the glass door frames of the balcony. The connection between spaces was also reinforced through the use of the same wood-toned flooring throughout the entire apartment, except in the bathrooms.
Custom-made cabinetry, combining smooth surfaces with the strong presence of mashrabiya elements, plays a key role in creating a visual language that is both authentic and welcoming. These lattice panels appear on the headboard in the couple’s bedroom and also on the wall that begins at the entrance hall and extends into the living area, incorporating a small wine cellar near the kitchen and concealing the powder room door. The latter, in fact, became a standout space with all four walls clad in cement brick and a sink sculpted from the same material, enhanced by intimate lighting.
The overall selection of furniture was also essential in consolidating the project’s concept. Each piece was carefully chosen with attention to the contrast of textures and the combination of different surfaces that, in a balanced way, enrich the whole.
The process involved active participation from the residents, ensuring the result reflected their identity. The project highlights objects with personal meaning and predominantly features pieces made by brazilian designers.
