Llopart is a family company of Sant Sadurní dedicated to the production of wine and cava since 1887. Its location is privileged because crown a mountain from where you can see Montserrat.
Following its 125th anniversary wanted to create a new space for enhancing tasting guided visits to the caves .
So the commission resulted in improving the facade and outside area , to redesign the reception hall and the creation of the new tasting room , reconverting to this part of the old warehouse.
The first decision was to strengthen the relationship between the old and the new through three large openings connecting the new room to the reception and by the mountain of Montserrat is contemplated.
To emphasize the unity of all the space we opted for a continuous pavement.
The aim of the designers focused on creating a honest and austere spaces with noble and natural materials. For the tasting room was thought a great background of wooden slats ( brown ) lining the walls and ceiling, and filtering the light of an existing , while improving the acoustics of the room skylight. It rests an ancient engraving LLopart family. The hallmark of their brand . In this paret slatted section has an inclination reminiscent of the shape of the roof of a house . This was done to give a warmer and more human point and contrast with the nature of the building . In definitica domesticate industrial
The space is organized from a tasting table custom designed and built with chestnut wood planks , on it a set of lamps, set in space.
The table is inspired by the concept of basic table. An envelope and trestles but playing with their size, semi- polished finish and thickness of solid board gives it a natural nobility.
To one side of the table , serving exposure for bottles of cava , it was designed and built a large architectural shelf plate black iron, bottomless , with a set of backlight, which in turn generates a corridor for circulating boxes cava .
To illuminate the shelf a lane with focus Lamp hung . IMAG
Across the kitchen table with glass enclosure with a set of quartering and armed glasses that filter is placed visibility .
For the reception I wanted to create a clean and functional space that was able to manage large groups of visitors. So we studied very well circulations and decided to place the counter on the side next to the offices. A counter designed as black iron with a wooden plank to support boxes cava gives a more human touch.
To sift vision offices vertical lathing fund was created with the same finish as the room. Across a large bank salt run brown solid structure the space and unites the different uses of space. Escape, wait and exposure.
the view of reinforced concrete wall was left as it was an "as is" finished space architecture and opted to ceiling and new walls finished mortar lime widely used in the area.
For room lighting profile black iron with a LED light source is designed. Which gives a contrast and a point of innovation with concrete and other natural materials.
