Catbalogan was historically a resting area for passing fishermen. The proposed Catbalogan airport draws from this origin, projecting the same comfort and warmth of a progressive vernacular character.

Hard barriers are substituted with undulating landscapes and benches, blurring the boundaries between both the outer and inner concourses while still maintaining security.

The facade, which is influenced by traditional weaves act as a buffer to minimize solar exposure. It creates a defining element that creates distinct moments for each passenger to enjoy and remember.
