Castellana 77 is located in the financial heart of Madrid. The regeneration of this emblematic building puts in value its identity due to its surprising "new skin" that is set to become a design reference.
Answering to the client needs light and identity have been the conceptual elements on which the firm has based Castellana77 proposal: to dominate de sunlight, to overcome it and to take advantage of it, creating an image that gives identity night and day. After that the challenge was to turn the invisible into visible. Reinforcing the building image, creating and icon that can be seen even through the existing buildings.
The architectural proposal of the facade has distinctive and unique forms. The goal is not only aesthetic but also looks for energy efficiency and sustainability. It incorporates slats that protects the interior from direct sunlight. This is why each slat has a different orientation and each facade has a different image. The efficient design of this component allows having significant energy savings and an optimum comfort and wellbeing for the users.
The floor plans are designed to be as flexible as possible. As an office building, it will have multiple tenants with different necessities, allowing multiple floor configurations is a key element to create the perfect space for everyone.
Our goal was to add value, creating a new recognizable, flexible and sustainable property that generates a quality space. The new image will be part of Madrid's skyline; a city that respects its roots, but looks into the future.
