Casalogica, built in the flatlands (pianura padana) in the Province of Bologna, is located in an area acting as complement to the urban fabric, characterized by the presence of two buildings with a compact form from the early 50s adjacent to which once stood a cold storage building. The heterogeneity of the context and the history of the project area, which was a place of work, give the design experience the characteristic of urban transformation.
Casalogica observes and hosts what happens outside of the project area relating itself with the virtues and weaknesses of the suburban context, betraying the visual concept of border to become elastic and accommodating: it adapts to the shape of the place making its model repeatable and exportable in space and time.
