Casa Tres Cubiertas
Located in a neighborhood of the 60's the house conformed by three volumes that house the different activities of the requested assignment (a basic domestic program) is inserted; these space containers in turn surround a contemplative garden to achieve privacy and shelter from the daily activities of the city.
From the street, the exterior of the house is hidden from the environment thanks to a large tree that protects and mimics it, we are greeted by a semi-floated volume that as a preamble built. The ground floor contains open and orderly spaces, they are discovered when entering, maximizing the spatial sensation due to the double height of the hall, these spaces finish off with an exterior social area at the back of the house. The upper floor houses a couple of bedrooms and a study, which are always accessed in visual connection with all areas.
Of materiality and monolithic appearance, Casa Tres Cubiertas is the result of the arrangement and displacement of the projected volumes that in turn connect and configure voids with spatial duality.
The decomposition of its volume generates scenarios that complete the spatial experience. The openings frame the new built environment, the introspective environment generated.
