The complete refurbishment of the building consists of bringing back the original facade of 1915 in order to match it with the rest of the buildings of the quarter, at the same time it is maintaining the constructive typology with three clear spaces between the supporting walls, which complies with the catalog of the architectural-heritage protection of the city of Barcelona (constructive typology of the cheap houses).
The interiors were modernized considering the characteristics of the original building: high ceilings, the c staircase located in the middle bay and a new functional distribution for the new owners, a couple with two children. Placing the kitchen and the bathroom at the front of the ground floor frees us the space in the middle and in the back of the building which with the opening of a large window onto the courtyard, possible by the construction of two large shafts in the load-bearing walls, provides a greater sense of spaciousness and better lighting for the dining and living area.
On the first-floor part of a bedroom was converted into a dressing room and a bathroom, a translucent glass box with a toilet and a bidet. On the top floor an old dovecote was demolished, and a large window was opened on the staircase and a skylight over the bathroom was created to provide an efficient and permanent natural light and ventilation to the building.
Neutral and noble colors and materials are applied on finishings and floorings, while minimalist shapes and neutral colors are adopted for the fix furniture and illumination so as not to interfere with the furniture and personal objects in the property.
