The identity of this project is its location. In Ribeirão Claro/PR, Brazil, on the banks of the Chavantes dam, the SM house has a program of 8 suites, with a constructed area of 1900m2 distributed at the highest point of the land and horizontally in relation to the contour lines. The house makes the most of the view of the water and the opposite bank of the dam (state of São Paulo).
With a silent implementation, the volume of the house is discreet and does not compete with the landscape. On the northwest side there is a large retaining wall covered in stone that frees up the implantation quota. Next to the wall there is a green strip of garden on a large part of its perimeter. Just as nature is the host of those who arrive at the land, the garden welcomes and guides the pedestrian for a walk that gradually reveals the social area of the house facing the landscape.
The roof of the house in metal structure is set back 2 meters in relation to the retaining wall, which allows cross ventilation throughout the social area. The generous 40-meter-long swimming pool extends along the outer slab on the southeast side. Five suites face southeast, while the other three open to the northwest.
Stone, wood, metal structure and natural stone floors make up the materiality of the house.
