Country House
The Shelter of San Vicente
2007-2013
We found a building dating from the century XVI where only the front of the building and a draft of masonry were preserved.
The assignment was to create a country house for rental, looking for the maximum building utilization, counting on a shoestring budget .
A light ladder, located in the center of the building will articulate space in all its floors. Downstairs it will separate the dining – kitchen and lobby lounge . On the first floor, the rooms. In the second floor, the play-room area from the main room. In the space of the cellar we locate a pool of water for relaxation and tranquility.
Inside we used few materials to highlight the existing stone, oak wood and painted iron . A polished continuous concrete pavement unifies all floors.
Outside and in the rear façade, a curtain of brick lattice sieves light and gives privacy to the rooms.
