“Casa Rio Hondo” is located in Mexico City, the idea was to create a house that through its volumes, materials and light entrances; became a house that fulfilled the clients desires, the house and its spaces are very dynamic and elegant but also comfortable and warm. The house connects and almost blends with the outdoors, because almost every single space has its own way out.
The entrance has a beautiful water mirror and a fountain that welcomes you inside the house, once inside you are received by a double height indoor patio that works as an excellent connector to all the spaces in the house. The house has three levels and a basement and has very different uses in it, three bedrooms, a family room, a painting studio, a bar, a wine cellar, terraces, and many others. The spaces were located in a successful way and well oriented, using large windows for better views, ventilation and natural daylight entrance.
The materials used for the finishings such as wood flooring, marble and white walls, created a great combination delightful for the eye.
