This house, located in the State of Mexico, was completed entirely within the original project constraints to suit the needs and tastes of new owners. The design changes were extensive, as the original architectural program was not suitable for the goals of the current clients.
One of the first changes was the reorganization of public areas, leaving the first space close to the entry and maximizing the views of the gardens. Public and service areas are fully connected to the outside, as well as the various terraces and gardens surrounding the house.
Additionally, a completely reimagined garden design, integrating a covered terrace overlooking the central lake, was incorporated into the outside landscape. The lake is connected to a river that runs through a nearby field in order to obtain running water, a vital component to the whole project. The terraces and pools of water connecting the interior with the exterior allow residents to enjoy the pleasant, ambient temperature throughout the year.
