Once invited to design the new Casa Loft, we knew that our proposal should be an innovative project, striking and at the same time uncomplicated. Loft, which is a digital platform that facilitates the purchase and sale of real estate, did not yet have a space open to the public that would position it institutionally in the city. Our challenge, therefore, was to materialize the experience of the digital in the experience and immersion of the brand, in a welcoming and humane way. The chosen property - a house with two floors and a roof - was totally reconfigured to receive the new proposal. Not in the sense of demolitions, because practically nothing was demolished, but in the sense of inserting new volumes and elements that bring a new spatial experience, thus creating a new path of occupation.
The perception of unity and connection between the floors was an important premise for the project. The orthogonality of the existing space was broken by the new inclined planes that define the environments and guide the circulation in a dynamic way. Complementing the existing vertical planes, we brought floor lines that reinforce the rhythm and design of this route. The program includes meeting areas and spaces for Loft employees on the first floor, while on the second floor we have the customization area for customers in addition to the meeting capsules. In the front portion of this floor the large window creates an eye towards the street, while a strip of skylight already indicates the occupation of the roof. It is on the roof that the new created route culminates, where the most informal meetings take place, with coffee and lounge areas. The floor lines go towards the roof, expanding to the new sliding doors and the metallic cast marquee, which create a beautiful composition of light and shadow when the sun appears.
Benches with sunshade, semi-circular tables, service counters, work tables were some of the products developed for this project, which were customized almost entirely. Wood, metal and expanded wire mesh are the elements that make up the set. All this surrounded by many plants, both in vases distributed throughout the space, and incorporated into the furniture. The facade, originally in concrete and mirrored glass, had a new coating applied in cast white aluminum. This way we were able to bring unity and re-signify the facade in a proposal aligned with the project concept.
