The villa has been designed in a slopped terrain with three building fronts in Row I, plot 2, at the Las Lomas del Mar beach, in Cerro Azul.
Despite having three exposed building fronts only one had direct views to the sea, so we had to make the most of this opportunity, as future constructions in front of the site, at a lower level, could be expected to be built in the future.
The site acts as closing of a block so we choose to work with a stepped form design following the land’s slope in order to reduce the construction’s impact in the residential area.
As the programme was broad, the villa was designed in three floors. At access level we find the living room designed with one and a half height, the dinning room, the terrace, the kitchen and the stairs which lead to the second floor and to the basement and service area. At this second floor we find the guest room, the main bedroom and its corresponding terrace, this designed to overhang in order to provide the first level’s terrace shade. Three more bedrooms and a living room where planned at basement level.
Finally materials used in this project are: concrete, walls plastered and painted in white, wooden lattice painted in white and tempered clear glass.
