In this project, the site is located at the edge of a ravine. It is a corner lot located in a private residential zone in the area of Guadalajara. The site responds to the geography of the ravine, leading east with abrupt hills and irregular geometry.
The project is built from the premise of creating a monolithic volume with the ability to open in full on one side and to remain closed in the other. The incorporation of a large central courtyard, in addition to being the link between the spaces, generates openings in the walls, and contextualizing the patio outside. These openings covered with steel louvres let the light and visuals penetrate inside the house, supporting further internal and external relationship.
The program is resolved in a 3 levels house with 775 m2 of construction. The use of the natural hill and the foundation of the house, allows the basement to have a full opening to the garden. Also houses a gym and guest room, both open to the central courtyard. At the intermediate level of income or other public activities are located. Services have independent access from the garage. Upstairs are private activities. The space generated by the yard serves as separation between the bedrooms and reaffirms this gesture of transparency abroad. Taking advantage of the height of the house, the ceiling of the master bedroom serves as a viewing deck for the privileged view of the private residential zone.
