Casa Ibi Project
The Casa Ibi project began with a renovation of the gourmet annex, the expansion of a bedroom, and minor decorative updates. As the work progressed, the client became increasingly captivated by the transformation and decided to broaden the scope of the renovation.
We preserved the original brick façade and embraced a rustic aesthetic. The exterior walls were textured in a tone matching the original bricks, using a pigment made from the brick material itself. The old white stone flooring was replaced with red sandstone, creating a harmonious blend of old and new. The goal was to create inviting, functional spaces with a minimalist approach.
The main house underwent a complete revitalization. Living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms received new finishes. The kitchen was expanded to allow more natural light and color, and new doors were added to integrate it with the dining area.
The annex was transformed into a leisure hub. The gourmet area now features a pizza oven, wood-fired oven, and barbecue, all integrated with a sauna and restroom. The cohesive design includes matching flooring, walls, and countertops. Wooden beams from the pergola extend indoors, paired with handcrafted bamboo ceiling panels that enhance acoustic comfort. Fully retractable doors allow for ample natural ventilation.
A balcony overlooking the valley offers a stunning view of the lake and natural shade from surrounding trees. The glass-enclosed sauna includes benches oriented toward the pool and garden, fostering a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Timeless eucalyptus wood carpentry, accented with green paint and straw details, adds warmth and practicality. The neutral interior design highlights the client’s art collection and furniture by renowned Brazilian designers.
The integration between the main house and annex was enhanced with a glass-roofed wooden pergola, connecting balconies, and built-in benches. Pathways and sidewalks were redesigned, and relocating the carport revealed the façade, further emphasizing the landscaping.
