The House is located in a urban development 90km south of Lima. Designing the project on a 380m2 lot with a double steep slope and a unique geometry that narrows towards the front with the view, combined with the strict regulations of the beach area, became the main concern in resolving the design. The peculiarities of the surroundings also included two adjoining properties with disordered multi-level constructions on two of its fronts, a steep staircase and a pedestrian passage on another, and subsequently a street providing access to the vehicular entrance.
As an architectural approach, a compact volume with a linear reading was proposed, emphasizing the unity of the architectural object to create a cohesive and organized appearance that stands out from its surroundings. To achieve this, a lower level was designed as a large stone-clad plinth to separate the main volume and make it appear suspended. The upper volume steps back to create a diagonal that directs the primary view towards the sea. Additionally, a lateral pedestrian entrance is provided, offering a resting point on the way from the beach, where you are greeted by a double-height indoor-outdoor space that accompanies the staircase leading to the main entrance of the social area on the middle level of the house.
