Slow Living Space Updated by Arabic Architectural Elements
Latticed doors and mosaic tiles embellish this Portuguese slow living outpost designed by studioarte. The serene, light-flooded townhouse in Lagoa’s historical center emphasizes spare, sculptural furnishings, standouts against the tall, bleached walls, their smooth, unadorned surfaces a temple to minimalism.
Studioarte has merged Arabic ornamentation with whitewashed geometry in this sophisticated coastal sanctuary. Completely reconstructed across two levels, the traditional façade showcases patterned screen entries that would look at home in India, Andalusia or Isfahan.
