For this great apartment on via Nomentana in Rome, the customer has asked for restructuring and reorganizing the interior spaces, in order to meet new needs of the family, consisting of four people. They’ve asked for a large living area, a closed kitchen and two bedrooms, one for each of the children, in addition to the master bedroom with its ensuite facilities.Starting from the plant of the flat, rectangular and static, we decided to move it through a game of perspective, accomplished by creating a rotation of the wall of which gives rise to the hallway and to the entire living area, imposing a new perception of space. The living includes a large relaxation area with outstanding pieces of historical design as the chaise longue by Le Corbusier, the table Saarinen Tulip chairs and chandelier Zeppelin. The corridor that distributes the sleeping area was thought of as a large glossy black paneling that conceals the access doors to the three bedrooms. The whole environment is dominated by dark tones, black and gray, also reflected by the slats of wood that covers the block consisting of kitchen and bathroom.
