This volume, practically closed off in its lateral facades to avoid visual contact with the neighbours and clearly open in the headwalls that evoke the spectacular vistas of the Cadí-Moixeró mountain range, is understood as a great container resting on two stone walls.
Built entirely from wood from the forests of the Basque Country, the house is divided into three levels. The first level is buried, but emerges from the ground, revealing its stone composition. Above it, supported and with a slight lateral overhang on both sides, a compact volume with the other two levels containing the programme during the day and at night built with a CLT structure.
An interior dominated by the same wooden structure left raw, combined with painted panels in specific areas, evokes the sensations of a mountain refuge. of a mountain shelter.
