SIZE

The apartment is located in an eighteenth century building in the historic center of Bologna, Italy. The intervention renews the existing space by redefining the distribution of environments for the creation of the second bedroom.
The project inserts the kitchen, consisting of two volumes of different heights, in the living area. Like a plastic element, the kitchen block is designed in every part to perform a containment function: in his back is restored in the library that acts as a filter for the entrance; on its side is obtained a pantry.
On the back wall of the living room emerge the old colors of the wall and decorations in the original stencil.
In the remainder part of the house the connection between the spaces is regulated by sliding panels of fabric, creating a visual filter between the sleeping area and the living area.
