Casa Duna is an introverted and intimate private residence project organized around a long brick courtyard, taking advantage of natural ventilation and sunlight. Conceptually, the structure is formed by two facing volumes with a subtle inclination towards the sky, creating a unique spatial richness.
The house hosts an ample and diverse program for an active family. One body houses a games room, kitchen, living room, rooms, and a garden; the other one houses a studio, library and finally, service areas. Both spatially and physically, it’s a very luxurious home with double and triple heights as well as first-grade materials.
The structure is composed of a succession of white concrete frames and the interior finishings are covered with dark wood.
All the interior doors facing the courtyard rotate on rails to turn the inner facade into balconies. The facade is covered by a metallic mesh which allows for views and passive lighting but maintains the interior of the house private.
