A few minutes from the beach of Matosinhos, the Godinho´s House was built in 1937 and later rehabilitated in 2015, suffering some adjustments allowing it's transformation to a guest house.
The main challenge of this project was to make a small, old house in contemporary space, providing every convenience and comfort, allowing adaptation to its new use.
The most characteristic elements of the house, like footers, the ceiling plasters, railings or wood used on the floor and stairs were mantained. Regardless of that, were also introduced some contemporary elements.
The color is present in all areas of the house and contrasts with the white of the woodwork and plaster. Green invade the common spaces while each room has its own color, individualizing the space.
Light leaks abound in order to make the best use of solar and natural light orientation.
