Suspended in drylands, Linear House is a private home, designed as a habitat for autonomous energy, powered by solar panels. It was devised for the region of Central Anatolia where the climate is arid. Its elevated level prevents dust invades the house. Any partition separates the terrace from the outside to give the illusion of continuity with the horizon.
Plain concrete, main construction material of the house, helps maintain freshness inside. It remains visible in the central part of the house forming the entry, the living room and extending to the terrace. This central surface is not bounded by walls and is open on the outside. Longitudinal main wing, covered with wood outside, allows individual access to each room with a crossing corridor. After the two bedrooms there is a glass room devoted to reading and relaxation.
