Yes, 68m² only! A Little living room with a bedroom, a semi-covered space for the car and a grill.
That’s all we have to work, we could spread it or form a group.
This Project is what resulted after a lot of love and dedication.
The Client:
Alejandro decided to live in a neighborhood far away of the city, in contact with the nature.
Altough he don’t pretend many meters, he knows that it is not a matter of meters to create a living space. He knows already some of our work and liked our management of austerity in the projects.
The program:
Our solicited program was very simple: To the already mentioned, the only suggestion was a little room for utility use or fishing tools in co-relation with the car and the living room.
We managed to relocate it under the Living Room, thanks to the natural level of the terrain in that location.
Terrain:
The terrain it’s ubicated in the Santa Celina neighborhood , on the South side of Mar del Plata.
A mid-block lot, that despite having a flat typology it had a 1m slope between the terrain and the street.
On the front, a big avenue with a lot of vegetation, on the backyard, a typical Mar del Plata’s neighborhood.
Development:
The richest matter is nature, the forest of Eucaliptus in front of the house, the “Green void” through wich the neighbors pass every day, once on feet, once on horse, the rest of the enviroment was no big deal, and we needed a lot of work in paper.
We intended to work on a minimal diagram and all the “little things” we have were compacted to develop the space relation with parts and everything.
We remove dirt, accesing on ground level, creating a large concrete tongue like old carriage courtyards, breaking into the center of our terrain.
This courtyard discover himself through a metalic gate who integrates all the facade, on the other hand, a big concrete slab that runs the entirety of the large and fold conforming the house and the ordered deck, that lies below this massive concrete entity and shape the garage and the hall entrance.
The deck was placed 42cm above the level of the living room, serving as an element to build the “armchairs”.
Besides the minimal dimensions, we constantly searched a variety of paths being able to reach all spaces, from the entrance, from the park, from the dinner room. From the park to the deck, from the deck to the living room. A complete cicle.
ESTRATEGY TO MULTIPLY THE MINIMUM EXISTING ELEMENTS
The house develop itself as a “none level definition”, it live the space. The living room it’s just a floor, the deck it’s a rest element and a grill space, also conforming a gallery. The park is downstairs AND upstairs. We basically played with the elevation.
This house its a ride, being able to stay on multiple levels, inside, outside, up and down.
The natural link is inescapable.
Live with the minimum like was the maximum.
