Casa Calar comprises a contemporary main module based on the Jungle Cabin in which the daily life of its owners happens and, the views over the lake are love at first sight for them, the mountains, and nature welcome every guest with a warm entrance enhanced by the local and raw materials used over the project - an ode to rest outside and enjoy time together envisioned with permeability within the outskirts of the jungle that we call home. Casa Calar is a reminder that a house is more than just the appliances and areas to enjoy, is a reunion with the essence of life and family.
At Grieta we understand Architecture as a whole, beyond the required technical specifications - where human touch, senses and feelings within projects are always present.
Mesa de Yeguas is a private community with two golf courses, unique in Colombia, and a green playground nestled within the mountainous topography of Cundinamarca within variations of sports that occur on top of the 52 hectares of lake that magnify the beauty of its surroundings.
This familiar estate has two wings, one associated with social activities and another one where resting is key, attached to a closed area dedicated to introspection and time-out, particularly the wood paneling and structure is visually extended throughout the project, including furniture crafted by CUBÍCULO, decoration curated by TABURETE, and above all, architectural elements. At Casa Calar, the pool becomes a central gathering area for sharing, also, the courtyard and lush gardens that Grieta Abierta, a Landscape Design Studio that partnered with us to congregate life and greenery with its tropical surroundings taking our breath away as soon as we step in.
