Casa Bay
An architectural session was provided for the land located on the skirts of Mount Erciyes,
considering the harsh climate conditions. The functions, which are completely formed by user
demands, have been solved as simply as possible. In this housing project with an area of 155 m2,
care has been taken not to leave any unused areas. The architectural mass was formed by
combining two different heights and sizes of parts. The section planned as a living area has a
sloped and high ceiling. The section forming the resting areas is designed low compared to the
living area. This functionality has been added to the architecture as dynamism. All living and
resting areas have direct access to the garden. Garden and terrace areas allow independent use
according to three different needs. Completely natural products were preferred as facade
materials and they were associated. The large mass was covered with light travertine material
belonging to the region, while the other mass was covered with specially prepared plaster
obtained from the soil belonging to the region. Contrast was provided by using these cotta colors,
black metal accessories and natural solid walnut veneer. The interior material preferences are in
the same parallel and are created with light travertine-earth plaster-root wood veneer and contrast
was provided with beige and burgundy lacquered furniture.
