The project consists of the refurbishment of an abandoned building between party walls with a façade on two streets in the Barceloneta district, under urban heritage protection to transform it into a single-family house with room for teaching or administrative use on the ground and first floors and the rest of the building for individual use of the property.
The main architectural element of the building is the staircase. This unique sculptural piece runs through all the floors and can be accessed from all points of the open space. Together with the lift and the water and the installations area, it forms the core of the building's services. The other spaces on each floor offer maximum polyvalence and flexibility which was the main requirement from the owner of the building.
The white finishing, the glass and oak wood are the materials applied on the project to create a neutral, luminous, and minimalist atmosphere which allow different styles for the future house equipment
