Suspended volume is well defined by the roof and chimney. The context of residences in the neighborhood highlights the reference in the house typology. The blue color unifies the entire upper volume, including the roof, creating a distinctive shape that is easily recognizable from a distance. The biggest challenge of the project was due to the accentuated topography, which ultimately became one of the key differences that make the house stand out in the landscape. The triplex is distributed across a suspended upper volume, with the internal area of the house, the ground floor featuring a leisure area and garage, and the basement housing an extra room and a large garden. The internal spaces that define the house are located on the upper floor, including bedrooms, a bathroom, and a living room/kitchen, all of which benefit from a broad view due to the topography of the lot. Integrated living room and kitchen spaces bring more social connection between the house's residents. The ground floor features a garage and a living space equipped with a barbecue and a toilet, perfect for family gatherings. In the basement, another room that connects to the external garden can be used as an extra office space, workshop, living room, or bedroom, depending on the future resident's needs. The design has cross ventilation that cools the house in summer and a solar orientation that allows plenty of sunlight throughout the day to warm up on winter days. The volume of the external staircase connects all levels through the back facade, with a strong visual presence. The building is intended for sale. Therefore, the construction techniques were designed to save money and guarantee an affordable final price.
