The project, commissioned by a European family, is used to have tropical vacation; the House is close to the beach, immersed in the jungle; designed to rest and live into the landscape. The shape of the structure was chosen to avoid this relaxing comfort.
The architectural concept inspiration comes from the forest, and life in it. Design was based on the structure of some plant growth, looking for the lightness of a mosquito.
The climate is hot and humid, so it seeks to be permeable to breezes and protect against the torrential rains and the sun heat through large eaves covering it.
Everything unfolds in a semi-outdoor central pasaje-corredor of two-level construction with a roof garden over the living área, where ananas, begonias of red leaf and white ferns were planted.
The material used is local, vegetable, and fast-growing; a good proposal to low impact construction.
The house is raised from the ground to allow biodiversity too keepliving trough.
To reduce construction impact, the enclosures, were prefabricated. With teak reforestation Wood screens, mosquito net, fibre cement sheets
Internally, we included clean color accents, green and calipsos, the furniture was worked in different woods; and most of the lamps, were manufactured with the same material of bamboo.
Water treatment is reached by dry leachfields using plants as heliconias with attractive flowers for butterflies and hummingbirds.
In terms of energy, the House is equiped with photovoltaic panels and solar water heaters.
