REQUIREMENTS – To take full advantage of the site’s location, the dominant presence of its position, and the views associated with it.
SITE – Casa Rey is located on the upper part of a hill at El Silencio Beach, establishing a strong connection with the sea, sky, and land.
CONCEPT – A fusion of rustic and industrial aesthetics, rooted in the character of the geographic context. To better integrate with its surroundings, the construction is divided into five pavilions. The main one, closest to the sea, connects directly to it through its strategic location and the use of large sliding glass doors. Additionally, the site includes various garden areas between the built volumes.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION – The walls of the main house and service area are made of reinforced concrete frames and brick walls; the bungalows and the guard’s quarters were built using concrete blocks. All exterior areas are finished with stone, complementing the rustic texture of the concrete blocks. Interior floors include wood, porcelain tiles, and marble in the main courtyard. Wood was also used for light structural elements.
