A plenty vegetation and an incredible view to Cerro Picacho are the main features of this 1800 sqm plot of land located in Altos del María.
For more than a decade, its owners didn't have the opportunity to carry out their dream project, a refuge inserted in this beautiful landscape. The initial idea was always to build a small house, which would serve as a place to rest and disconnect from the routine.
We decided to use the only area of the land, that doesn't have trees to built the project.
The view to Cerro Picacho was essential for the owners, so we decided to worked with an L-shaped form, that opens completely towards the hill.
The service areas (kitchen and laundry) are located towards the street, and the common areas (living room, dining room and terrace) are located towards the patio. This allows both the living room and dining room to have a 180-degree view.
The private area was located at the right of the house. The secondary room is located on the ground floor and above it is the main room, which opens completely to Picacho Hill through the balcony.
The staircase serves as a central element that frames views of the landscape in both directions.
