Located in the Nueva Galicia residential development in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, Casa A-R-C emerges from a plot with irregular geometry and a northwest orientation. Far from limiting the project, these conditions define its character and the way it engages with its surroundings.

The proposal is built upon a clear premise: prioritizing spatial quality over quantity, resulting in timeless architecture where interior and exterior intertwine naturally. Rather than a house fragmented into rooms, the project is conceived as a continuous sequence of atmospheres in dialogue, creating a fluid, serene, and deeply sensory experience.

The entrance leads into a foyer that acts as a threshold and the project’s main articulator, subtly separating public and private areas. At this point, the staircase manifests as a sculptural element that not only resolves vertical circulation but also takes on a leading role within the composition, setting the pace of the journey. Moving toward the social area, the architecture opens up to an atmosphere of calm and contemplation. The lateral condition of the lot is transformed into an opportunity: through fixed windows, the landscaping of the service entrance is visually integrated into the interior, blurring boundaries and reinforcing the constant presence of nature.

On the upper floor, the project maintains this logic of integration. The landing is accompanied by a planter that introduces vegetation into the heart of the space, becoming the central element of the upper foyer. From this point, three bedrooms and the laundry area are distributed under a functional layout that does not sacrifice spatial clarity or the continuity of the architectural language.

Casa A-R-C understands landscaping, light, and materiality as fundamental design tools. Natural and zenithal lighting, combined with the use of honest materials, build an atmosphere that transcends trends, allowing the architecture to remain relevant over time—not because of its form, but because of the experience it offers.
