The house is located on the edge of Lake Furnas. Its design aimed to provide a view of the lake from all its rooms. Visual integration throughout the social area and privacy in the intimate area guided all the solutions. The circulation areas are enhanced by overhead lighting.

The house was separated into three sectors: social area, family area, and guest area.

The social area is accessed by a ramp and has full view of Lake Furnas. It features an indoor pool with overhead doors in metal and glass structure, dining room, kitchen, living room, terrace, deck, and BBQ.

The pool starts indoors and advances to the outdoor area in such a way that the pool water blends into the water of the lake.

The indoor garden has walls made of slabs of rough stone and a Cumaru wood pergola. That solution separates the living area from the TV room. The social area has two washrooms. The kitchen is fully integrated to the dining room and can also be closed by its large sliding wooden doors.

The internal staircase leads to the billiard room and bar, which has a glass display into the pool. The external staircase leads to the sauna. All these areas overlook the lake.

Behind the social area, the service area has a bedroom, storage room, and laundry.

The house has three suites on each wing. One wing is used by the family and the other used by guests. The social area connects these wings. Both wings have the same features, circulation areas, stone walls, and overhead lighting. Every room can be accessed by indoor and outdoor circulations, giving the house user permeability.

The furniture used throughout the property was acquired with local designers and thus has the earthy feel of the region of Minas Gerais. This region is known for its wooden furniture some of which has patina work. This traditional design makes an interesting counter point to the contemporary architecture, giving it coziness and comfort.
