Multi-Family Nature Retreat Community
From a far distance deep in the wilderness of the desert of Tecate, Mexico, lies a 30-acre anti-resort and natural retreat community called Campo Verde.
Abundant water and fair weather foster a wide variety of birds and other fauna of the Costal Chaparral Ecosystem, unique to the Southern California - Baja California region.
Preserving 95% of the local flora, owners and guest will hike the amazing trails discovering ponds in some of the seasons, the experience of proximity to ranch animals while enjoying the refreshing shadows from 200-years old oak trees.
Embodied by 60 micro cabins, owned by individual investors and administered by Natal, is a great opportunity to embrace design for a nature-driven community.
Inspired by the simple way of life the local natives, Kumeyaay tribes inhabited the area for hundreds of years in the region, a cabin that emulates a “Nido” or “Nest” was conceptualized by the Gracia Design team.
Built with local bricks, steel, and wood, each micro cabin has a 250sf footprint. Offering owners and guests a private bedroom with scenery where both, fireplace and outdoor can be seen from bed; full bathroom with outdoor shower, a small kitchenette, and private patio with fire pit, allows visitors to connect to the our deepest essence, nature.
CampoVerde Shelters will be receiving owners mid-summer 2019 and will be managed by a local operator for others (non owners) to experience the one of a kind ecosystem. Gatherings will be organized to knit together a like-minded community, as well a restaurant and pool will be built as part of the amenities for this community.
