Located in the high desert of CA. in an area known as the sunniest place in the U.S., with average summer temperatures in the +46C range. Design is Desert Modern with a 1st floor CMU wall for thermal mass and passive heating and cooling, and a 2nd floor, framed wall construction. While the home is relatively small (260m2) it has over 557m2 of indoor/outdoor living area, with ample first floor covered deck/patio space and a huge 2nd floor wrap around deck. This provides a huge amount of shaded area in the summer months but allows for the low winter sun in the cooler months. Clare-story windows, and large, exterior shed doors provide natural light and open the interiors of the house to a central courtyard. The house is 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath, and the master suite is separated from the main house except for the second floor deck.
